"Passport makeup" is the latest trend going viral on TikTok as everyone wants to have the best passport photo in use for the next 10 years.

The hashtag #passportmakeup has amassed 385.3 million views on TikTok and it looks like it's showing no signs of stopping.

But what's the secret to taking the perfect passport photo that isn't just about angle or symmetry? The main elements of this trend and the secrets are revealed by makeup artist Mata Mariélle as follows:

-Start with a light base

 When it comes to creating the perfect foundation, you need a light formula that allows the natural glow of the skin. A fondant in your skin tone is perfect.

-Add dimension

So, in other words, you should focus on contouring the jaw line, above the cheeks, nose and chin. A super light highlighter for a more natural look may be the choice for you.

-Natural eyebrows, but adjusted

Eyebrows are the key to a curated portrait. "The best product in this case is the eyebrow pencil, which is perfect for creating natural brows," suggests Mariélle.

- Emphasize the eyes
