"I married Francesco Totti for love, not for money and I've always shown that," says Ilary Blasi in the new documentary, "Ilary Blasi: The One and Only," which will be broadcast on November 24, on Netflix.
She will share her love with the former Roma captain and the end of their relationship, which ended in divorce. "At the end of January, we went out to dinner and at one point, I noticed that my husband was someone else. And from that moment, a disaster happened", she says.
In a 2-minute trailer, released on Netflix's social media account, some teaser scenes from the series were shown and people immediately began to think that something big is behind Ilary and Francesco's much-discussed divorce. After declaring that she married Totti for love and not for money, Ilary tells how she met the former captain of the Roma team.
"My sister called me and said she had met Francesco and said he wanted to meet me. I was 19 years old, while he was already Francesco Totti", implying that at that time the world knew Totti.
The documentary will also feature the life of luxury, travel, home, programs moderated by Blasi, footage from their wedding, as well as Ilary's family…and then, the breakup.
In July 2022, after a relatively long crisis in their relationship, they ended their marriage. There were many rumors about the crisis between the two, and there were even rumors that Totti was in a relationship with Noemi Bocchi (Totti's current partner), who was often present in the stands of the matches. Among these rumors, Ilary had a dilemma: Who to believe? The man or the journalists? "I could not believe that the man who was by my side for 20 years, for half of my life, had done something like this," she says.
Ilary Blasi: The One and Only, written by Peppi Nocera and Romina Ronchi and directed by Tommaso Deboni, offers a new and honest view of Ilary Blasi, adding the testimonies and confessions of people who have always been near her.
For his part, Totti spoke about Ilary Blasi's betrayal, showing how he discovered it and also talked about the crisis in the couple.
"I had never done it in 20 years and neither had she with me, but I got paranoid. I checked her phone and saw that there was a third person acting as an intermediary between Ilary and someone else. I found text messages like: "see you at the hotel". There have been rumors about me in the past, but they were just rumours. This time I had proof. I had facts. The whole thing made me depressed. I couldn't sleep and despite pretending everything was ok, it wasn't me anymore. It was someone else. I got out of all this thanks to Naomi," he said.
