Have you ever thought that your birth order can affect your marriage? Even if it didn't occur to you, psychologists have analyzed and studied it for you. Because some of them believe that birth order affects your relationship with the man/woman you choose to share your life with.

According to psychologist Kevin Leman, who wrote "The new birth order book: Why you are the way you are", birth order affects a healthy relationship. Leman came to this conclusion by referring to a study published in "The Journal of Marriage and Family" where the relationship of 236 businessmen and their partners is analyzed based on the order of birth and their combination.

According to studies, if you are the first or middle child, you should marry someone who is the youngest child. Whereas if you are the youngest child, you must marry the eldest child.

According to Walter Toman, a professor at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, who conducted a study of 3,000 families in Germany, a marriage is more likely to be successful when the first-born marries the last.

According to him, opposites attract, because children who are born first tend to lead relationships and are the ones who teach the youngest about the organism and most other things. While the youngest child, who in this case would be the partner, reminds the elder that life should not be taken too seriously. The same study supports the idea that the last born should be a man, while the first born should be a woman.

If you marry a person who is the oldest child, according to Leman, there will be a lot of clashing of ideas and a desire to be in control, so the relationship is likely to fail. But there is also a chance for success. Hillary and Bill Clinton are a case that supports the success of this union.

If you are the middle child, you must marry the last born, as only then can you live in peace. If you marry someone who was born between the same age as you, you will have trouble discussing issues. According to psychologists, middle children tend not to face problems and avoid them.

If you are married to a person who was born last, same as you, the relationship will be a chaos. Neither of you will have the power to make decisions and have the stamina to direct things, so clashes are likely to lead to a breakup.

The studies also leave room for exceptions based on the individual's education and living conditions.
