A perfect sleep means: you put your head on the pillow and sleep eight hours to wake up the next morning. But, there are many people who do not have such a quality of sleep because they wake up often at night and this is normal, according to doctor Christopher Winter, also author of the book "The Sleep Solution".
But, he lists some of the main reasons for this condition!
#1 The sleeping environment is not right
The most common reason you might wake up is precisely the environment. The room is too warm, too cold, noise, light, all these factors affect the interruption of sleep.
#2 You may have restless leg syndrome
Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a neurological disorder that causes uncomfortable sensations in your legs, giving you the idea of ??moving all the time, according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. Often people are not aware of this discomfort, they often move their legs at night and this causes them to wake up every two hours.
#3 You have acid reflux
Having this condition means that what's in your stomach goes back into your esophagus, according to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. Symptoms include heartburn, chest pains and nausea that occur at night and disrupt the quality of your sleep.
#4 You are in pain
Even when you are asleep, the brain can detect a certain problem. "If you have pain that wakes you up, you may wake up more often.
#5 The drugs you take have an effect
Unfortunately, not all medicines are good for good quality sleep. "Certain medications can interrupt sleep and change its normal patterns," says doctor Orlando Ruiz-Rodriguez.
#6 Consume alcohol or caffeine
Alcohol and caffeine before bed are the two worst stimulants for poor and interrupted sleep.
#7 Suffer from insomnia
We often associate insomnia with problems falling asleep, but this disorder can also cause problems staying asleep throughout the night.
#8 You are stressed
Stress is everywhere, so if you have anxiety or stress, it sends signals of an excited state, which interrupts the sleep process or keeping the right hours for this process.
#9 Stay too far in front of electronic devices
The phone, TV or other electronic devices that are used a few minutes before sleep affect the quality of the latter because blue light disrupts the circadian rhythm (sleep-wake).
