The daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has changed her name! The 18-year-old, who went by the name Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, will legally have the name Shiloh Jolie, according to People. The teenager first applied to remove her father's surname in May of this year, just as she turned 18.
In July, Shiloh's request to change her name was postponed after a court delayed the hearing claiming that the entire file and request of the daughter of famous actors had not been read.
"Unfortunately, the court was unable to complete the review of the entire history of the file and requests, so the hearing was rescheduled for August 19, that is, yesterday," said her lawyer Peter Levine.
"Everyone who is subject to a name change request must have a clerk of court check, and due to a procedural error, the hearing for Shiloh was held yesterday."

In July, Shiloh took the next step in the California name change process, announcing that she had filed to change her name to simply Shiloh Jolie. Under California law, before a judge can approve a petition to change the name, they must have the legal forms published in a newspaper for one month. Once published, the request then appears in the legal notices section. After it was published in the "Los Angeles Times", then it continued with the entire legal procedure.
We remember that after Shiloh's request to give up his father Pitt's surname, the actor did not hide his anger.
"He's aware and upset about his daughter giving up her last name," a source told People. "Of course this is not an easy decision, as Brad loves his children and misses them very much."
