Many women are made to swoon just at the idea of ??having a short man by their side.

However, mental health experts have found that shorter men are excellent husband material. A 2014 study found that the divorce rate for short men is significantly lower than for average and tall men.

Here are the reasons why short guys make the best husbands:

1. They are full of self-confidence

In a world where short guys are often overlooked simply because of their height, they manage to make up for that 'flaw' with their self-confidence. Short men sometimes feel like they have to prove their worth to others, and as such, they try harder for things that taller men can more easily achieve due to their height.

2. They make you feel royal.

Look at all the models in the world. What do most of them have in common? Usually, they are taller than their husbands. Okay, that's also because they are very tall themselves in general. You may not be Gisele Bündchen, but with a short king by your side, you will look just as regal!

Short men live an average of two years longer than taller men. A recent study found that this may have to do with a gene linked to longevity. 

4. They are more dedicated

Short men are much less likely to get divorced than average and tall men. While tall men tend to get married earlier, their marriages don't last as long as those of short men. When it comes to love, short stature is compensated for by the longevity of a marriage.

5. They give you more opportunities to make connections

The average height for men is 175 centimeters. Once you remove the absurd height requirement, you will double, maybe even triple, your chances of finding love. Short men can be just as sexy and charming as tall men. So, don't be so critical, give short men a chance too.
